Local Collaboration Launches Westmoreland Community Job Fair
HEMPFIELD TWP., Pa. (Sept. 27, 2024) — Representatives from Pennsylvania Career Link, Live! Casino Pittsburgh and the Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce announced today it will host monthly regional job fairs beginning Tuesday, October 15 for businesses throughout Westmoreland County. The program was established after discussions with Pennsylvania Senator Kim Ward, Pennsylvania Representative Eric Nelson, and representatives from the three organizations.
The events will be held the third Tuesday of every month at Live! Casino’s The Venue Live! and will feature dozens of area businesses that are seeking qualified candidates to fill a variety of positions.
“This collaboration will have an enormous impact on Westmoreland County,” said Senator Kim Ward. “We all appreciate this effort and commitment to improve the business environment and overall quality of life for all of Westmoreland County.”
The job fairs will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Attendance is free and open to the public. Registration for businesses is also free and can be completed by visiting WestmorelandJobFair.com
“Acquiring and maintaining employees remains a serious challenge for all area businesses,” said Sean Kertes, Westmoreland County Commissioner. “We believe this type of concentrated job fair will provide the proper forum to support both businesses and residents seeking employment.”
