Tournament House Rules

  1. Must be 21 years of age or older to play.
  2. A Live! Rewards© card is required for tournament registration and at the tables.
  3. Live! Casino Pittsburgh operates poker tournaments under the guidance of the Tournament Directors Association (TDA). If you require any further clarification or have any questions, please consult with one of our supervisors.
  4. Players start with a full stack. Purchased stacks will be put into play at the end of registration if the player is still absent.
  5. Satellite winners and promotional prize seat winners’ stacks will be put into play at the start of the tournament.
  6. Unless noted, No Limit Hold’em tournaments are played with a Big Blind Ante format. A single ante will be owed from the big blind. The big blind is paid before the ante.
  7. Winners must show a valid ID to collect winnings. Pursuant to IRS regulations, W-2G or 1042 forms will be issued for all tournament winnings greater than $5,000. Residents of foreign countries without a U.S. tax treaty will be subject to tax withholdings.
  8. Any unauthorized chips introduced into tournament play will be immediately removed upon detection without substitution. Any parties determined to be responsible for the introduction of said chips will be disqualified without refund. It is each and every player’s responsibility to bring to our attention unusual chips, circumstances, or irregularities.
  9. By playing in any poker tournament held by Live! Poker Room, players give Live! Casino Pittsburgh permission to use their image or likeness in all marketing materials without compensation. This is not limited to social media platforms utilized by Live! and its affiliates.
  10. Live! Casino Pittsburgh will not be held responsible in the event of typographical errors or misinformation on websites or printed materials, and players will have no claim in these matters.
  11. Discourteous behavior and abusive language towards players or the team will not be tolerated.
  12. Tournament director’s decision is final.
  13. Live! Casino Pittsburgh reserves the right to alter, change, or cancel any tournament.

Tournament Player Responsibilities

  1. Protect your hand
  2. Make intentions clear, verbal is binding
  3. Follow the action
  4. Act in turn. Acting out of turn one too many times could result in a penalty
  5. Exposing your cards with action pending will result in a 3-hand penalty
  6. Defend your right to act
  7. Keep cards visible and chips correctly stacked, large chips should be out front or on top of stack
  8. Remain on the table with a live hand
  9. Table all cards promptly at showdown or if the dealer asks you to
  10. When there is an all-in, a call, and no more action, all players must table their hand
  11. Speak up if you see a mistake
  12. Call for a clock when warranted
  13. Transfer tables promptly. Please use chip rakes when moving tables
  14. Follow one player to a hand
  15. Practice proper etiquette
  16. No cellphone usage at the table except to listen to music through headphones
